Belfagan Dancing In Keswick
BELFAGAN BIDS YOU WELCOME
Welcome to the all-new, completely revamped Belfagan website. We've been online for five or six years now, and this is the third version of the site. I hope you find it loads much more quickly than previous versions, but retains that je ne sais quoi that makes Belfagan the unique morris side it is.

WHO ARE WE?
For new visitors, we should explain that Belfagan is an all-female side, established in 1981. We had a big ceilidh in 2002 to celebrate our 21st birthday, and now that we are fully grown up we are better than ever.

WHERE ARE WE?
We're based in Cockermouth, an attractive, lively market town just outside the Lake District National Park in Cumbria: our members, however, live in many of the local villages and towns.

WHERE TO FIND US
We practise every Monday evening during autumn & winter in All Saints Church Rooms, Kirkgate - newcomers are always welcome. During spring & summer we dance out around local pubs throughout the Lake District and further afield. Visit our diary page for more details of this year's events.

WHAT DO WE DO?
We follow mostly the North West Morris tradition, and some of our dances are named after places in our area, like Keswick, Wigton, Eaglesfield or the Cumberland Crown. We also have our own dance, named, with great originality, Belfagan, as well as a new dance created especially for our 21st birthday, called Cockermouth. Perhaps one day we'll master it.......... Click here for more details of our repertoire and the tunes we use.

We have a happy, relaxed attitude to what we do, and never take ourselves too seriously.
